Star maps with Josh Flagg in Los Angeles

so I don’t know about this app……is it an invasion of privacy?

A new iPhone tool from “Million Dollar Listing’s” Josh Flagg includes a directory of hundreds of Los Angeles-area celebrity homes.

The Huffington Post got the scoop on this in  May,  and was quickly followed KEN WILLIAMS  (of SDGLN)  interview with Josh that was published on May 25.

Hollywood stars, take note: There’s now an easier way for gawkers and stalkers to figure out where you live.

Josh Flagg, the real estate agent made famous by Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing, has launched an iPhone app that includes a directory of hundreds of Los Angeles-area properties associated with celebrities. The app, called Star Maps, differentiates itself from its traditional paper brethren by using the phone’s GPS function to direct users to properties they’d like to see.

The stargazing gawkers reportedly add lots of $$$  to the  Los Angeles’ tourism business. It is estimated  millions of dollars in revenue annually are made off this sector.  Competition is tough.  Starline Tours and newer fly-by-night tour and map purveyors are all competing.

“It is cutthroat out there,” notes Leron Gubler, president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. “They yell at each other; they yell at tourists.

The app is 99 cents. = Create your own customized guided tour to see the homes of your favorite
Hollywood stars. Josh Flagg, star of Bravo’s hit TV series “Million
Dollar Listing,” takes the star maps sold on Los Angeles street corners
and brings them to your iPhone. Star Maps includes an extensive database
of stars’ homes, top-notch GPS technology, and tons of interesting
facts and photos. All information is backed by years of public records,
which guarantees that all the information is accurate.   Search by name – or most popular. More names added soon!

Mariela Castro to Visit San Francisco

Anticipation over a multiday San Francisco visit by the niece of
Fidel Castro has thrust The City into U.S. presidential election
politics while stirring up some classic fears of communist infiltration.

Sexologist and gay rights activist Mariela Castro — the daughter of
Cuban President Raúl Castro — was granted an exception to strict
international travel restrictions by U.S. officials and obtained a visa
for her trip. She plans to participate in panels on LGBT issues in
health and culture at San Francisco General Hospital and the downtown
Marriott Marquis, where the Latin American Studies Association is
holding a conference.

Castro is not expected to grant interviews during her visit, but she
will also appear at the LGBT Center on Market Street tonight for a
discussion slated to include audience questions. And while Cuba hasn’t
always been known for its support of gay rights — with the 1959
communist revolution leading to persecution of homosexuals with
imprisonment and “re-education camps” — local LGBT leaders are pointing
to Mariela Castro as
someone who is helping to change the legacy her family helped establish.

“She has a unique position as the president’s daughter, and she has a
lot of influence in the country,” said Jeff Cotter, the executive
director of the San Francisco-based Rainbow World Fund. “That sends a
really fantastic message to everybody that it’s time for change.”

WARNING: Gays at DisneyWorld in Orlando!

This is so funny – and tragic!

The Florida Family Associations  spends about $20,000, to fly planes over Disney World, warning potential heterosexual visitors about gay people visiting the park for the annual Gay Days. (this photo is from last year).

The FFA writes:

Florida Family Association has received
many, many (really?)  letters and emails from people across the country who
patronized Disney World in Orlando to find themselves in the middle of
one of the annual Gay Days at Disney.  The most recent letter we
received was from Willis in Sarasota who wrote “Just a note to let you
know that about 18 years ago my wife and I and our 2 year old
granddaughter were at Disney World when it was ‘Gay Day.’  It was the
most deplorable sight that we ever saw.  I thank you so much for the
vision of the airplane banner warning people.”

We want to warn
families before they expose their children to Gay Day’s same-sex
revelry, before they pay money to Disney for parking, admission,
novelties and food.  We also want to send a message that Gay Day’s
public promotion of homosexuality to a captured audience inside the park
is wrong.

They have nothing better to do with their money?
